Suzuki & Dalzuki® Program

The Suzuki method offers an exciting opportunity for student, teacher and parent to collaborate. Pioneered by Shinichi Suzuki, the Suzuki Method is also known as Talent Education because individual spirit and artistry are fostered in a social environment which develops discipline, enthusiasm and a love for music.

Students attend both individual and group lessons and perform in frequent recitals and a spring festival. A parent attends all lessons and receives special instruction in order to be able to serve as the home teacher. For Violin and Cello Students, we offer a uniquely effective and innovative curriculum known as Dalzuki®, which combines SuzukI instruction with a Dalcroze music theory class.

Dalzuki® classes combine instrumental instruction with a 30-minute Dalcroze class, which focuses on elements of rhythm, posture and ear-training. The Dalcroze method’s focus on movement and kinesthetic learning is ideally suited to enhance the Suzuki curriculum. For first year students, the Dalcroze class takes place during the group violin and cello classes; for second and third year students, the Dalcroze class takes place before or after the group class.

Please note: The age listed for each class is the student's age as of September 1, the first day of the school year.

Our online registration system now includes private lessons, in addition to group classes!
