Preparatory String Ensemble

Members learn the basics of ensemble playing and sight reading. This group is designed for students who have had at least one year of private lessons, can read music and are able to sight read simple rhythms. Violinists should know a two-octave G major scale fluently and be willing to learn other one-octave scales as needed. The Preparatory String Ensemble will perform in a minimum of three concerts per year.

Please note, this is a 30-week academic year class.
