Born in Krakow, Poland, violinist Anna Majcherczyk graduated with honors from the Music Academy in Krakow and the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. She also studied at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg through the Socrates-Erasmus Scholarship. As concertmaster of the Krakow Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, she debuted as a soloist at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and has performed in prestigious venues such as the Musikvereinsaal in Vienna and the Berliner Philharmonie. From 2012 to 2018, she was associate leader of the second violins with the Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra. Currently based in New York, she performs with various orchestras, including serving as concertmaster with the New York Repertory Orchestra and the Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra, and teaches extensively at institutions like Lucy Moses School, Opportunity Music Project and the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music.
Her teaching philosophy combines European music education, the Suzuki method, and elements of the Paul Rolland method. Anna emphasizes small, manageable steps in learning and believes in the power of music to foster social connections while instilling values of excellence, solidarity, and inclusion. Her goal is to help students develop a refined appreciation for the arts, joy in making music, and the self-confidence that comes from mastery.
