
Emily Martin is a classical pianist, composer, and educator based in Manhattan. Dedicated to presenting dynamic and thoughtfully-curated concert programs, Emily has performed at venues including Weill Recital Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, Steinway Hall, St. Bartholomew’s Church, Gracie Mansion, and at halls in Spain and Italy. A Steinway Educational Partner and member of the Piano Teacher’s Congress of New York, Emily is a committed educator and was on the Adjunct Piano Faculty at NYU, the Instrumental Music Faculties at The Browning School and The Spence School, and she maintains a thriving private piano studio. Her most recent composition, Night Thoughts (2025), was commissioned by the Piano Teacher’s Congress of New York for the 2026 20th/21st Century Festival, with its performance by the winner of the festival at Merkin Hall. A native New Yorker, Emily received her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Piano Performance from New York University where she studied with Eteri Andjaparidze and Seymour Bernstein. When not making music, Emily enjoys the outdoors, cooking, and competitive croquet. She serves on the Board of Directors of the New York Croquet Club.
