Join us for a new ballet class focusing on pointe work! We will do foot warm ups, releves, echappes, releves on one leg, and progress to learning pirouettes and traveling turns as well as more complicated combination steps. Depending on individual experience, we will work starting at the barre or in the center for more advanced dancers. In this class, dancers will wear pointe shoes. Open to dancers who have taken ballet for several years.
The curriculum is designed to continue through the Fall and Spring semesters. Students are encouraged to register for the same day and time for both Fall and Spring. Students enrolling in Fall and Spring Dance classes together receive a 10% discount on the Spring class tuition.
Spring classes with a minimum age of 4 and beyond culminate in a performance in May in Merkin Hall.
