Ballet and Summer Musical Theater Workshop; faculty of Kaufman Music Center since 1991. Ms. Grégoire created the physically integrated dance and yoga programs at the IDEAL School of Manhattan and has taught residencies at numerous public and private schools and colleges throughout New York and New England. She trained in classical ballet at the Ballet Russe and later with Maestro Alfredo Corvino. After majoring in dance at Kirkland/Hamilton College her training continued at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, the Merce Cunningham School and with Thelma Hill. Ms. Grégoire was artistic director of her own company, Cirque Grégoire for many years, and also danced for Anna Sokolow and other modern companies. As Artistic Director of the Global Children’s Art Programme (GloCAP.org), she creates dance and visual art workshops with underserved youth internationally; most recently in Turkey, Thailand, Chad, and Bali. She is an RYT 200 yoga teacher and holds additional certifications in Mindfulness and Yoga for Children with Special Needs. Ms. Grégoire has received choreography fellowships from the Joyce Mertz Gilmore Foundation and the New York State Council on the Arts, among others.
